Happy Fall!

Ok, so Suzanne called and nagged me about not updating our blog. There is a lot to catch up on and I'm sorry I haven't done it so far. As I told her, it's lucky if I get a shower and blogging has fallen to the bottom of the totem pole. I'll give it a shot this weekend, though and post so much ya'll be sick of hearing about it. Here's the first one...

We finally made it to fall. Now those of you in pleasant summer places, you know the places that don't make it to 110+, may not see this as a great achievement. However, you probably haven't done things like parked at the end of the Costco parking lot just because there was a smidgin of shade. Or stupidly taken a drink out of a water bottle left in your car only to burn your entire mouth and tastebuds. Or walked out the door only to melt on your doorstep. (Not to be ungrateful, I never have to shovel my driveway.) What it all leads up to is we are SOOOOO happy Fall is here! I love the colors and the decorations. I love the cool nights and pleasant days.

Carter is almost 4 months old. He's reached 14 pounds and is hitting the fun milestones quickly. One week he discovered his tongue (which got the kids giggling so hard in church I had to pass him to our friend behind us.) The next week he learned how to move his hands around, the week after that he learned how to laugh and this week he's learned how to grab things with much concentration. He is studying his feet now so it will only be a matter of time before they are in his mouth.

McKenna and Ellie are through with soccer. It has been a great year for it. McKenna's skill level has improved by leaps and bounds and the best part is she still loves it. Although I've loved this soccer season I'm excited to have Saturdays back not to mention 3 more nights a week without running from place to place.

And not to leave Tyler out(poor second child...)he had his first sleepover last night and rocked at Rock Band. No pictures of that, though.

Tonight was the school's Fall Festival. They got to dress up so I'll give you a shot of Dee & Carter's costume. Makes me laugh every time I look at it. Ever heard of Mini Me? This is Mini Dee.
